Safe Nights Capital Campaign

SAFE NIGHTS CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

How you can help

We are kicking off our Safe Nights Capital Campaign to assist us with expanding our shelter services and to help with our on-going shelter costs.  Our new shelter will have 4 bedrooms, 2 and a half baths, kitchen, dining room, 2 living areas, a laundry room and a 2 car garage.  Our Safe Nights Capital Campaign will provide opportunities to the community, businesses and families to “buy a room” or a “night” at the shelter.  For your donation we will name the room after your business, foundation or family and place a plaque in a visible location indicating your generous donation.  In addition, we are asking for support to furnish our new shelter.  If you would like to make a donation towards furnishing the shelter we will place your name on a memorial plaque in the entry-way of our shelter.  We understand that not everyone will be able to afford the donation of a room or to help with furnishings, so we are continuing our Safe Nights option of sponsoring a night of shelter for $50.00 a night.  Below are specific ways to be a part of creating a safe and healing environment for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in our local community.

Living room – $30,000

Master Bedroom – $25,000

Standard Bedroom – $10,000

Kitchen – $20,000

Bathroom – $2,500

Half bath – $2,500

Laundry room – $1,000

Furnishings – $250, $500, or $750

A night of shelter – $50.00 – your name or the name of your business will go in to our weekly ad in the      Summit Daily.

Please consider partnering with us and helping us create something special for those who need the support of our agency!

VAWA Victory

VAWA VICTORY!!!!
Bi-partisan Senate version of the
Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) passes in House, 286-138!
2011 CCASA logo horizontalStatement from the National Alliance to End Sexual Violence (NAESV):Today, The United States House of Representatives approved the bipartisan Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), S. 47, by a vote of 286 to 138. In an earlier vote, the House fell short of approving the House substitute by a vote of 257 to 166. The strong bipartisan vote of 78 to 22 in the Senate earlier this month influenced House Republican leadership and resulted in the agreement to bring the Senate bill to the House floor for a vote. The bill will now go to President Obama, and upon his signature, it will become law. It will be reauthorized until 2018.

Thank you to all CCASA members and partners who reached out to your elected officials to ask for a comprehensive VAWA to be passed!

This is an amazing victory!
